ZDARBOH, n.o. – is a non-profit organization registered at the district office in Presov on 11-09-2008. ZDARBOH, n.o. provides charitable services in the creation, development, protection, restoration and presentation of cultural values and cultural heritage resulting from the historical traditions of mining and metallurgy in the territory of Zlata Bana village and the nearby Slanske vrchy hills, since gold, silver, mercury and antimony mining in the territory of Slovakia is one of the branch with the oldest history over here. This nearly ended by the end of the 20-th century. The ore reserves in the deposits exhausted over time, or by the other causes the exploitation disappeared and never had been renewed.
The sites remained deserted, except for some artifacts, which “in situ” after mining had remained. At the beginning the ore was retrieving in the surface from the outcrops of the veins, later deep. In many cases this remind us “pingy” lines, depressions, heaps, dumps, collapsed entrances to the mine works (shafts, etc.) These artifacts with respect to their “availability” and possible development of cultural-historical tourism could be promising for the certain area and indirect economical benefit in a broader sense. Those artifacts is reasonably necessary “in situ” to restore, indicate, make accessible and appropriately join them to instructive hiking routes and paths. We think that keeping them for the future generations is grounded here. Various acquired working tools, devices in the field, in the renewed and accessible mining works and other after mining artifacts gradually collect and present them by the accompanying materials in for this purpose established memorial room – a museum along with other historical documents – historical relies of the village in general.
We have clear aims and objectives. Under the given conditions our task is quite time-consuming, complex and responsible from a professional point of view. It cannot be done without financial resources, devotion of all involved, support of social components, organizations, or sponsors. Therefore, our non-profit organization at the beginning of its existence will seek the execution of the project and exactly by this website would like to address either those, who are close to mining problems or history, or those who´s given locality is close to their hearts and would like to help its development and presentation of its cultural heritage. Only then can the written words meet their target and come to fruition.
